Living Landscapes #02.
Earlier this year SPACEPILOTS announced their collaboration with architect/artist Carol Mancke, Machina Loci to investigate the idea of space as a living landscape, a repository of accumulated action instead of pure physical mass.
The project initially proposes an intervention in the public realm of an East London neighborhood, which we are aiming to realize later this, or, early next year. More..
In the meantime, a second strand of this project has been developed in form of a series of workshops with students in Japan, Bucharest and London.
– As a third element of our collaboration, Stephanie Brandt and Carol Mancke are currently setting up a series of panel discussions on:
- 01. the politics in/of public space
- 02. the potential of public art to engender creative participation in the political and cultural life of cities and
- 03. examples and/or matters of experimental or subversive urban practices.
